What the World Needs Now…

We are living in some truly turbulent times right now! On one level it may seem as if the whole world is going crazy. And for some, it may be. On another level, we can look to this time for deep introspection and identifying what is important in our own lives. People are taking strong stands for their beliefs and it’s good that we can have that opportunity to share what is important to us.

But somewhere along the way, we lost our common decency and kindness. Why does it seem like if you don’t agree with how someone thinks, then they must hate you for it? It seems like so many people are easily triggered right now.

One of the best lessons I learned in my 20’s is that we can agree to disagree and then move on. No big deal! You can still respect each other and find other things to focus on that you do have in common.

There is a lot of anger, sadness, and righteousness rising to the top. It is the responsibility of each and every person to manage their emotions and know how to process them—and avoid getting triggered!

I believe we are in a purging stage right now where a lot of pent up emotional damage is coming to the surface and that is why we see a lot of anger in our world.

If we choose to be kind, if we choose to look at the GOOD things in our lives, and appreciate all that we have, we can shift our emotional state to something positive. I believe we need to raise our own emotional frequency as high as possible right now to bring more love and joy into our world. And at the same time, I think we need to be vigilant about digging for truth.

I love sharing this image to make a point. Depending on your perspective, the truth may look different and it is still true.

So who is right in this case? All three perspectives of the green square, the red circle, and the blue triangle are correct based on how they are able to perceive the object.

The only way to see the TRUTH is to Zoom Out to see the yellow shape and see all the perspectives at the same time. This helps to find common ground and once you’ve done that, you can move forward to understanding each other’s perspectives and find ways to connect in a genuine way.

So what does our world need now? More kindness. More connection. More open-mindedness. More compassion. And simply more love.

We are all humans on this one beautiful planet and 99.99% of us want the same four basic things of love, joy, peace, and abundance. Let’s work towards this within our own sphere of influence on a daily basis. The more of us that do this, the faster we’ll find a way to co-create a world that is a joy to live in!
