Francesca is a professor of business administration in the Negotiation, Organizations & Markets Unit at Harvard Business School. She also formally affiliated with the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, with the Mind, Brain, Behavior Initiative at Harvard, and with the Behavioral Insight Group at Harvard Kennedy School.
She teach Decision Making and Negotiation in the MBA elective curriculum and in Executive Education programs at the School. Francesca co-chair an HBS Executive Education program on applying behavioral economics to organizational problems. She also teach a PhD course on Behavioral Approaches to Decision Making and a PhD course on Experimental Methods.
Francesca’s research focuses on judgment and decision-making, negotiation, ethics, motivation, productivity, and creativity. Her work has been published in top academic journals in both psychology and management, as well as in numerous book chapters and practitioner outlets.
Her studies have been featured in The Economist, The New York Times, Newsweek, Scientific American, Psychology Today, and The Wall Street Journal, and her work has been discussed on National Public Radio and CBS Radio.
Francesca have won numerous awards for her teaching, including the HBS Faculty Award by Harvard Business School’s MBA Class of 2015, and for her research, including the 2013 Cummings Scholarly Achievement Award, from the Academy of Management Organizational Behavior Division. In 2015, She was chosen by Poets & Quants to be among their “40 under 40”, a listing of the world’s best business school professors under the age of 40.
In addition to teaching and doing research, she advise firms and not-for-profit organizations in the areas of negotiation, decision-making, leadership and organizational behavior.

Paul’s two decades of research have taken him from the Pentagon to Fortune 50 boardrooms to the rain forest of Papua New Guinea. All this in a quest to understand the neuroscience of human connection, human happiness, and effective teamwork. His academic lab and companies he has started develop and deploy neuroscience technologies to solve real problems faced by real people.
His latest book, Trust Factor: The Science of Creating High Performance Companies, uses neuroscience to measure and manage organizational cultures to inspire teamwork and accelerate business outcomes. His 2012 book, The Moral Molecule: The Source of Love and Prosperity, recounted his unlikely discovery of the neurochemical oxytocin as the key driver of trust, love, and morality that distinguish our humanity. In another obsession, Paul’s group uses neuroscience to quantify the impact of movies, advertising, stories, and consumer experiences. Along the way, he has helped start several transdisciplinary fields, including neuroeconomics, neuromanagement, and neuromarketing.
Here are his specs: Paul is the founding Director of the Center for Neuroeconomics Studies and Professor of Economics, Psychology and Management at Claremont Graduate University. He has degrees in mathematics and economics from San Diego State University, a Ph.D. in economics from University of Pennsylvania, and post-doctoral training in neuroimaging from Harvard. He also serves as a senior advisor to Finsbury, a global leader in strategic communications that advises many of the world’s most successful companies.
Susanne Sweet is an Associate Professor at Stockholm School of Economics and a research manager at Mistra Center for Sustainable Markets. Her research covers a broad range of topics on corporate sustainability and responsibility. In 2004 she, together with three doctoral students, founded Sustainability Research Group, SuRe, that in 2007 received the Globe Award for “For an outstanding and tangible research in the field of CSR”.
Her PhD thesis from year 2000 looked at various industries transformation towards improved environmental practices as a result of the Montreal Protocol, a UN treaty regulating the use of chemicals that were harmful to the ozone layer. She has also studied the potential for market developments for recycled materials and participated in a working group that evaluated different scenarios and policies for recycling and producer responsibility.
Susanne is currently on the management team and conducts research in a large cross-disciplinary research program on sustainable fashion, Mistra Future Fashion, aiming to a systemic change of the Swedish fashion industry leading to sustainable development of the industry and wider society. She is also doing research on the CSR related concept of community engagement and is performing studies on the mining industry in South Africa, Sweden and Australia in cooperation with Dr. Rebecca Lawrence, Department of Sociology, Stockholm University and Dr. Håkan Tarras-Wahlberg, SuRe-affiliated researcher. She is also a member and co-founding partner of NCCR, Nordic Centre for Corporate Responsibility, who jointly conducts research with a Nordic focus.
She is on the editorial board of the journal Business Strategy and the Environment and appears as a reviewer in leading sustainability journals. She was a member of the Reference Group for CSR, Globalt Ansvar, Foreign Ministry Sweden (2008-2012), she is a board member the SSE Research Board, a former board member of the Greening of Industry Network and on the Academic Advisory Board of Sparbanksakademin.As part of her interest connecting research and practice she has been co-organizing several conferences and workshops on CSR and sustainability, for example, Misum stakeholder workshop, March 2015; Sustainable Business in a Sustainable World in 2012 (with SEI, SRC & af Jochnick foundation), Climate Change – Business Opportunities 2008 (with IFL & Mistra).
Peter Hopkinson is professor of Innovation and environmental Strategy at the Bradford School of Management, Director of the University’s new re:centre and academic director of the partnership programme with the Ellen Macarthur Foundation. The University has recently been announced at the first Global Pioneer University for the Circular Economy by the Foundation.
Peter has set up and runs the Post Graduate Certificate and Global Distance Learning MBA in Innovation, Enterprise and Circular Economy and before this ran an MSc in Business Strategy and Environment for 10 years. Peter is a National teaching Fellow, the highest award in the UK University sector for teaching excellence. His research interests are in the relationship between natural environmental and resource issues, innovation and organisational strategy and adaptation. For a decade he has been co-director of the Higher education Environmental Performance Improvement project and was Director of the Universitys award winning Ecoversity programme between 2006 -2010. He has specific interest in the impact of digital technology and innovation on environmental and resource issues and together with the Ellen Macarthur Foundation is developing innovative on-line and open access courses on the circular economy. The on line executive education course for the Global 100 circular economy club has attracted over 100 delegates in the first two cohorts. Peter undertook his PhD at Leeds university at the Institute for Transport Studies. His research work has been published in Environment and Planning, Technology, Work and Society, Journal of Cleaner Production. International Journal of Sustainable Development and International Journal of education for sustainable development. Peter is currently the Director of the University’s new £6M re:centre, a cross University initiative focussed on executive education, business start up and incubation, student enterprise and academic research and development on the circular economy.
Emma Stenström is Associate Professor and Center Director for the Research Center for Arts, Business & Culture (ABC) at Stockholm School of Economics. This semester she is teaching two CEMS-courses: “Responsible Global Leadership” and “Global Management Practices” as well as “Leadership” in the MSc-program in Business & Management. She is also deeply involved in developing the new BSc-track “Global Challenges”.
Emma received her PhD from Stockholm School of Economics in 2000, but did part of her doctoral studies at École des HEC in Montréal. She has been Associate Dean at Stockholm School of Economics and Guest Professor at University College of Arts, Crafts, and Design in Stockholm, and is, since many years, also a regular columnist in Dagens Industri, Swedens largest business newspaper.
Ongoing research projects include a study on compassion training in organizations, together with researchers from Karolinska Institute, and an interdisciplinary study on activity-based working. There are also ongoing projects on arts-based initiatives as well as on aesthetic and cultural values in businesses.
Richard Barrett is an author, speaker and internationally recognised thought leader on the evolution of human values in business and society. He is the founder and chairman of the Barrett Values Centre, a Fellow of the World Business Academy and Former Values Coordinator at the World Bank.
He is the creator of the internationally recognized Cultural Transformation Tools (CTT) which have been used to support more than 6,000 organizations on their transformational journeys. To date, more than 5,000 change agents, consultants and coaches have been trained by the Barrett Values Centre to use the Cultural Transformation Tools in over 50 countries.
Richard has been a visiting lecturer at the Consulting and Coaching for Change, Leadership Course run by the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford and HEC in Paris. He has also been an Adjunct Professor at Royal Roads University, Institute for Values-based Leadership, and a visiting lecturer at the One Planet MBA at Exeter University.
